How much are you spending on Valentine’s day this year?

Here are some of the numbers for Valentine’s Day 2022

$145 million — The approximate number of Valentine’s Day cards exchanged industry-wide every February 14, according to Hallmark. (This doesn’t include children’s packaged cards.)

$21.8 billion (yes, billion) — The total amount last year that Americans spent on Valentine’s Day gifts for partners, friends, kids, pets, and more, according to the National Retail Federation (NRF). 

$23.9 billion (yes, billion!) — The total amount we’re expected to spend on Valentine’s Day this year, which would make it the second-highest year on record, according to the annual survey released on Jan. 31, 2022, by the National Retail Federation and Prosper Insights & Analytics.
